The activist wrote a statement demanding detailed information on the location of the party leader.

Respublika: Pickets in front of the DNSC of Almaty continue, 14.05.2012

  • Protests continue at the building of the DNSC of Almaty, demanding the release of Vladimir Kozlov, Serik Sapargali and Ayzhangul Amirova who were arrested by officers of the National Security Committee. This time, the individual picket, in their support, is being carried out by a poetess and member of the coalition “Khalyk Maidany”, Aisulu Kadyrbayeva. The woman chose to picket on the day of Juma-kuni – a holy day for the Muslims.

  • This morning, a package sent by the wife of Vladimir Kozlov was refused by prison authorities on the grounds that her husband was no longer being detained in the prison of the DNSC of Almaty, since he has been transferred under guard.   • Experienced lawyers are astounded by the news that the trial in the case of Vladimir Kozlov and other “instigators” of social discord may be classified. Lawyers interviewed by “Respublika” do not see any grounds under which the court hearings may be closed to the public. However, the legislation in the area of state secrets leaves many questions unanswered.
