  • Astana, April 6 (IPS) – The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, has claimed yet another landslide victory in the presidential election which was held last Sunday. Turbulence in the Arab world did not seem to have any significant impact on the distribution of power in Kazakhstan. Nazarbayev, who has been ruling the country for over 20 years, has confirmed his intention to “stay the course on economic, political and social reforms” in Kazakhstan.
