Vladimir Kozlov's close friends have confirmed that he has been transferred to a prison in the town of Zarechnoe near Almaty, where he is currently being quarantined.
Muratbek Ketebayev via a Facebook post, states that the next step following Kozlov's transfer to the prison located in the area where he is domiciled should be an attempt to bring about his release.
- We will talk about it to the members of the European Parliament and diplomats of the European countries. There is little hope that the story of Putin pardoning and releasing Khodorkovsky will repeat itself. Yet, without action being taken by civil society and international support, it will be impossible to get Kozlov released, writes Ketebayev.
