  • It took the public prosecutor slightly over three hours yesterday to read out the indictment against Vladimir Kozlov, Serik Sapargali and Akzhanat Aminov. Moreover, the text read by the prosecutors in some places did not correspond to the text that was in the hands of the lawyers. Consequently, the lawyers said that the text read by the prosecutor did not correspond with the original charges.

Alga: 'The trial of Kozlov': first day of the trial in Aktau, 16.08.2012

  • The first court session in the case of V. Kozlov, S. Sapargali and A. Aminov, as expected, commenced under scandalous circumstances. In the first half of the day the judge Myrzabekov rejected all appeals filed by the defence. In response, the lawyers demanded the resignation of the judge. Observers were stuck to their phones, through which they published information on the Internet. For some reason their phones remained on, even though all the others were asked to turn devices off .
