  • It so transpired that Vladimir Kozlov 'celebrated' his 52nd birthday in the detention centre. And therefore the most common wish of his supporters, who sent him telegrams on 10 August, was for him to celebrate his 2013 birthday as a free man.

When people do not insist on fair and proper treatment, the authorities grow in insolence and begin to engage in criminal behaviour. Respublika: The charges against Kozlov were presented to him only today, 15.08.2012

  • Today at 11:45 am, local time, in the city of Aktau, Vladimir Kozlov was handed an indictment in the detention centre. However, this again couldn't have happened without any 'surprises' from the secret services. As Aliya Turusbekova wrote on 'Facebook', the head of the investigative group, Colonel Baldairov, tried to persuade lawyers and defendants to sign for receipt of backdated allegations against her.

  • Aliya Turusbekova was allowed to meet with the politician Vladimir Kozlov, on Friday, the day of his birthday, as she had requested. However, just prior to the meeting, she was suddenly informed that in order for the meeting to go ahead, she was required to undergo... personal inspection, like a criminal.

Respublika: Prosecutors and court are competing for time, 11.08.2012

  • On Saturday 11 August, attempts were made to serve Vladimir Kozlov with an indictment in the detention centre. Moreover, the prosecutors have already familiarised themselves with the case and even sent it to the court – the trial 'against the enemy of peace and humanity' will begin on 16 August.
